540 Golden Hawks
540 Golden Hawks is one of over 450 Air Cadet Squadrons in Canada and has been serving the youth of Oakville for more than 65 years.
The Squadron provides Oakville youth from ages 12 to 18 with unique opportunities to gain valuable life and work skills such as teamwork, leadership, and public speaking, along with the personal benefits of increased self-confidence, discipline, initiative and decision making, and specializes in aviation, band, leadership, sports, survival and more.
Cadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their communities. They make valuable contributions to society on a daily basis in terms of environmental, citizenship and community activities.

Our $15,800 donation was presented to them on October 3, 2017.
"100 Guys Who Care Oakville" is truly a supporter of youth in the Oakville Community! With their recent donation to 540 "Golden Hawks" Squadron they have shown real leadership in making a difference in kids lives. 100% of this generous donation will go towards purchasing new musical instruments, so that the Squadron can expand its Band program to reach even more youths in the Oakville area who might not otherwise be able to afford to be a part of something so special. The 540 Squadron Band will be defending it's 2017 Provincial Championship title next year, without having to use the broken or borrowed instruments it won it with! Thanks "100 Guys Who Care"; your group is a great example to the youths of how we can make positive change in the Community if we all work together!
