Lighthouse for Grieving Children

Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children provides peer support groups for grieving children, youth and their families in the Halton and Peel area. Bereaved children, experiencing a major crisis changing the fundamental structure of their family unit, find a community of understanding and support at the Lighthouse. They provide empathy, create trust, build courage and motivation.

Our second nomination came from Troy Fraser in Q3, 2024

Our $10,200 donation was delivered on September 24, 2024.

Nominated by Justin Hwang

Our $17,500 donation was delivered at their office in Oakville on June 24th, 2016.

“The Lighthouse for Grieving Children is deeply grateful to 100 Guys Who Care Oakville for their huge gift of $17,500 in support of our Lighthouse families. Families, like the ones we are all part of, yet families where a young parent or child has died. Your gift is not charity but an investment in our peer groups – providing for an entire children’s group for an entire year in group at Lighthouse. Your gift brings our children love and light, and the encouragement and hope they need to get through dark times.”
