100 Guys "Extra"
From time to time, we try to help out our Recipient Charities with a few “extras”.
For instance, when we dropped off our cheque to Home Suite Hope after our Inaugural Event, we found out that they had just moved into a new office location and were desperately looking for a boardroom table, projector and screen to use with their sponsored families. In the case of Grace House, we learned that many of their residents were sleeping on mattresses that were over 18 years old.
So in both cases, we reached out to some of our members, passed the hat, and got connected with suppliers that helped us source items at cost (or significantly discounted). With these extra efforts, we were able to get Home Suite Hope their boardroom table, projector, screen and a filing cabinet, and Grace House 10 new mattresses and box springs, new bedding and a new microwave for their residents. Tax receipts were issued for all additional cash and in-kind donations.
So 100 Guys "Extra" is a separate email group that consent to receive emails from us from time to time regarding some “extras” that we are sourcing for our Recipient Charities. It may be a small additional financial request, or it may be access to your network to help us find specific items or connect the charities with others that may be able to help them. These emails will be occasional (we will not bombard you with email requests) and are entirely optional – you can assist if you wish or ignore the request. We will only follow up if you contact us to help with a specific request.
